Volunteers/Soldiers for the Lord
James Brooks (ASAP Recovery Group Leader)
James is a man on fire for the Lord and a modern day Paul of Tarsus! Before coming to know the Lord, James was a pretty renowned drug dealer in the Covington/Ludlow, Kentucky area. After numerous incarcerations, trips to rehab, and even dying three times in one week, James eventually had a Damascus road encounter with the Lord that radically changed him from the inside out. Since then, James has Graduated Teen Challenge of Milford, Ohio, married his sweetheart of 20 plus years (pictured next to him), and become our ASAP Recovery Small Group leader! James is also an Evangelist at heart!

Chicago Maynard ( a Voice in the Wilderness)
Chicago has a major burden for winning the recovery community back to the God of the Bible. Like us, Chicago takes Jesus at His Word (John 8:36), and believes that you CAN be recovered, and do not have to be in recovery the for the rest of your life. Chicago has also been our unofficial evangelist, and is solely responsible for getting our book, ASAP Recovery: Tearing out the Old Foundation, into multiple programs and sober living facilities, which in our opinion makes him "The voice of one crying in the wilderness: 'Prepare the way of the Lord!'" ~Isaiah 40:3
